Footnote from the editor: alas for short lunches we recommend staying in the area – the Student Centre (Mill Lane) has a variety of coffee, sandwich and baguette shops and there’s a small supermarket. There are two pubs virtually on campus which can supply basic pub food: The Gateway (Gateway Street) and the Swan and Rushes (real ale!) (Grange Lane – Oxford Street end).
